In a park there were a total of 13 bicycles and tricycles. If the total number of wheels was 31, how many tricycles were there?

Are mountain bicycles good for street riding? I need a bike to get to work about 8 mile ride.

How to correctly date old Schwinn bicycles?

My grandparents gave me 2 Schwinn bicycles that they have had in their basement forever. One is a Schwinn Varsity and the other is a Schwinn Collegiate 3. The Varsity seems to be older than the Collegiate. My grandparents cannot remember when they bought the bikes, but they think it was between the mid 60s to the early 70s. I need to know how I can properly identify the year in which they were made. Also, if you could give me an estimate of their value, I would greatly appreaciate it!
You already have an answer for finding the year of manufacture. As to value, don’t expect much. These bikes were built in huge quantities and there are still a lot of them around, they were built to last. They were inexpensive new, and even in perfect condition, aren’t worth much more than when they were new. If you could sell both for $200 you would be doing well.

Most men I’ve asked definitely prefer the women’s bikes with no crossbar. bicycles do not need to to be gendered, especially not for adults. Any reason why they still are?
women and men have different proportions in thier anatomy, thus the biggest difference for "Women Specific"designs. So a 5’8" woman and a 5’8" man are going to have different proportions in torso length, arm length, femur length, etc… And thus bikes *should* be gendered, at least they are in the upper-levels of bikes, not so in the department store level.

Fuji bikes are good quality and tend to be very good values as they are priced better than many other brands like Trek, Cannondale, Specialized etc.
