I’ve done some downhill mountain biking on some trails in Colorado and absolutely love it. I live in Indiana though. I want to get into the sport more and was wondering what would be a good bike to buy. Or what a good brand would be to check out, what brands to stay away from?

What mountain bikes have a RELAXED geometry?

I am looking for a good quality full-suspension mountain bike with a more relaxed geometry due to recently damaged cervical (neck) vertebra. My old Turner Nitrous has just too radical a position for me. Any suggestions?
If you own a Turner Nitrous, then you’re rockin’ old school XC racer all the way. It is definitely way to radical for you now.
I’ve come to the conclusion that many of the newer bikes are designed for the serious weekend warrior, and that’s actually a really good thing. I’m leaning toward the All Mountain category for my next bike myself.
For the mass produced bikes out there, I personally like the Specialized bikes. The Enduro is a sweet ride with 6" of travel and a great upright seating position. For those with a bit deeper pockets, the Santa Cruz Blur LT (not the XC) or the Nomad would be a great choice.
But what matters most is what works best for you. There is simply no replacing going to a bike shop and test riding bikes till you find one that fits you and your needs. Sometimes you can rent them for a day or even rent them at a mountain.

its allready explained-
get a hardtail if you’re going to be doing light/medium off road cycling
or get a full suspension bike if you are doing very heavy riding
(jumping off ledges or a very very rough trail)
bearing in mind full suspension bikes absorb most of the powder you put in to the pedals and is much heavier
you only need FS bikes if you’re doing serious riding
not a country trail or path

Where can I find some good deals on mountain bikes?

I have a specialized rockhopper, I want to buy a new bike, preferably Kona or Specialized. I would like soft tail, and I dont mind having an older year bike at all to save money. Any ideas or websites as to where I can find some used or new mountain bikes for pretty cheap? Or any other ideas or advice? Anything will help

I just purchased a mountain bike with Amarillo DS on the side of it, so I am assuming that is the brand. When I look it up online all I can find is things related to Amarillo, TX, which is not what I want. Does anybody have any thoughts or resources concerning this type of bike?
