Mountain Bikes?
Anyone know of the best brand names for mountain bikes?
Intense, Titus, Turner, Ellsworth,Foes Racing, Santa Cruz, GT, Haro, Kona, Yeti, Trek / Fisher, Marin,Jamiis, KHS, Ironhorse, Orange,Commencal, Surly, Bontrager,Rocky Mountain, Norco, Brodie, Transition, Mountain cycle, Voodo, Moots, Ventana, Banshee, Chumba . . . these out fits tend to either make only MTBs or enjoy more success with MTBs over other most of their other kinds of rides.

if your just beggining you dont need anything expensive. there are all kinds of good brands. just go to a bike shop and tell them your experience and they will show differernt brands and what is good to ride. good luck

Start by looking at Giant, Cannondale, Specialized, Trek. They are all good bikes and you will have a representation of what is out there.

Seriously, go to your local bike shop. Or better yet go to 2 shops and pick up some catalogs. Deciding how much money you want to spend is very important. If you have that decided, it’s usually easy to find the best bike in that price range.
Titus is one of the best, check those out.
