2009 Cervelo S3 – Road Bike
Fabio Selvig of Cervelo gives us a quick look at the S3 road bike. An all new model for 2009, the S3 is a combination of Cervelo’s S & R series. It incorporates the aero designs found on the S series with the compliancy and stiffer BB of it’s R series.

the best thing i …
the best thing i like is the price. it may be a nice bike but for such a small amount of material there is no justification for the high price. we should cut cycling cost and encourage more people to be able to afford good quality lightweight bike instead of being rediculously overpriced.

If your going to …
If your going to ride a race wheel, you may as well make them tubular. Weight savings, cornering/handling, rolling resistance, and flat resistance of a tubular are all superior to clincher.

Cervelo’s are made …
Cervelo’s are made in Taiwan not China.
Cannondale is about to be shipped overseas as well. It is unrealistic to produce high end bikes at a reasonable price point in the states. The high end market is elitist enough as it stands, Trek increased prices all around by 8% for everything 2009 and everything to come. As much as I’d like to support American made bikes, they are soon to become extinct.

Cervelo frames are made in China. Cervelo bikes are nice, so don’t give Asian overseas a bad rep.
